  • Input Methods: The keyboard layout for the new language will typically be added automatically. You can switch between keyboard layouts using the language bar (usually in the taskbar) or by pressing Windows key + Space.

  • App Languages: Some Microsoft Store apps may also switch to the new display language if they support it.

Troubleshooting Common Language Pack Issues

  • Installation Fails or Gets Stuck: Ensure you have a stable internet connection and sufficient disk space. Sometimes, temporarily disabling third-party antivirus software can help. Try running the Windows Update troubleshooter.
  • Not All UI Elements are Translated: While language packs aim to translate most of the OS, some elements, especially from third-party software or older Windows components, might remain in the original installation language or English.
  • Features Missing: If features like speech or handwriting don’t work, go back to the language options for the installed language (Settings > Time & Language > Language > click the language > Options) and ensure those specific features were downloaded and installed.

By following these steps, you can successfully download and install a language pack in Windows, tailoring your operating system experience to your linguistic preferences.
